Water Quality Advisory

Please note that the Water Quality Advisory remains in effect as turbidity has not yet dropped below acceptable levels. This Advisory is directed at our most vulnerable water users - with Northern Health recommending that children, pregnant women, the elderly and persons with weakened immune systems drink boiled water.

Masks Strongly Encouraged in all District of Kitimat Facilities

Effective Monday, November 16, 2020, the District of Kitimat is strongly encouraging masks to be worn in all public indoor District of Kitimat facilities to reduce the potential risk of exposure to COVID-19.

City of Terrace

No parking on streets from Nov 15 to April 1 annually. If you currently have a trailer or other vehicle parked on the street, it’s time to find it a winter home. Basketball hoops or other sports equipment should also be moved off the streets

The City of Terrace

The City of Terrace will require the use of masks in all indoor City facilities starting Nov 1.That includes the Terrace & District Aquatic Centre and the Sportsplex. The decision to require masks comes as B.C. is experiencing an increase in COVID-19 cases, including in the Northern Health region.

City of Prince Rupert

To reduce the potential risk of exposure to COVID-19, effective immediately the City of Prince Rupert is requiring masks to be worn in all public indoor City-operated facilities. This requirement is being implemented to protect community health and safety.

The City has a designated street light reporting line for you to report street lights that are out in the community. All that's needed is to call to (250) 627 0988 to make your report and be sure to note the nearest address/intersection.
